Today on CNN's Late Edition Senators Trent Lott and Diane Feinstein actually agreed on something.
Both agreed that Israel has the right to defend itself, that Lebanon should have previously taken steps to reign Hezbollah in, that there should be a buffer zone between Lebanon and Israel, and that diplomatic action needed to be taken to keep the conflict from becoming a regional war.

Additionally Hezbollah's leader has broadcasted a statement saying that they welcome the fighting and in it he inferred that Hezbollah has not yet utilized its anti-tank, anti-aircraft, and long range missles.

Hezbollah with anti aircraft missles. Thats an unsettling thought. If he's telling the truth and Iran has supplied them with that capability we may also see them being used abroad as Hezbollah has attacked outside the middle east before.
